The Warda Race and 2016 TMBRA Wrap-up!

The team had a strong showing out at Bluff Creek this past weekend, and some great overall results for the 2016 TMBRA Season! We’ll be taking a break from racing over the hot summer months, although there are still a few events here and there, and racing will resume in the cooler months this fall. Great pics below!

Carrie Arnold: Women’s Singlespeed Open – First Place Overall for the 2016 Season!

Bill Ables: Cat 2 Men 50+ – First Place Overall for the 2016 Season!

Cooper Sellers: Cat 2 Men 40-44 – Second Place Overall for the 2016 Season!

Lucie Hanzlik: Women’s Cat 2 40+ – Second Place Overall for the 2016 Season!

David O’Bryan: Cat 1 Men 50-59 – Sixth Place Overall for the 2016 Season!

Not to be outdone, Padre Mora and Katie Johnson both completed the Woodlands Ironman, despite a delay due to weather (the same weather that hit Warda).

Thanks to The Light Company and to Carlos Marin for the great pics!

Shiner GASP! 2016

Great day out in Shiner last weekend! Tony, Mark, and Cynthia rode the 50 mile route, while Carrie and Jani punished themselves on the 100 mile route. Thankfully, it was relatively cool for this time of year, but cooler temperatures did nothing to reduce the awful headwind we rode into for the last 20 miles! The cold beer at the end was much appreciated and well earned.

Hell of the Southwest Gravel Pursuit

Despite the threat of storms and last minute re-routes, Lisa Lennon and myself braved the drive to China Spring for the Hell of the Southwest gravel ride. We both rode the 101 Ultra Beast along with about 30 others. Despite storms the night before and some nasty wind in the morning, the weather turned out beautiful and the route was gorgeous!

The beginning and end of the ride took us through Talbert Ranch and down a variety of beautiful, tree-lined gravel roads. The wildflowers were in full bloom, and there were all kinds of birds and livestock (including the spring babies) to look at!
